Broadmeadow Mine BSL scrubber system
Dual hydraulic wet scrubber system engineered for a Beam Stage Loader crusher section where electrical supply was constrained, using mechanically driven hydraulic power to deliver high-volume air treatment.
Client / Location:
HBT
NSW BMA Broadmeadow Mine
Problem
-
Dust generation at BSL crushing section required capture and treatment to improve local conditions.
-
Electrical power availability at the distribution control box was insufficient for an electrically driven scrubber solution, requiring an alternative power strategy.
Solution
-
Engineered a mechanically driven hydraulic power approach using a gearbox attached to conveyor drive end to power a hydraulic pump.
-
Hydraulic pump drives two scrubber motors connected to impellers, enabling scrubber operation without additional electrical outlets.
-
Custom-designed and adapted scrubber units to suit the BSL integration and operational constraints.
