Dominic Foley

Managing Director

Dominic Foley leads Particular Engineering as Managing Director, drawing on both technical expertise and military discipline as a veteran business owner. He co-founded the firm to continue the pioneering dust mitigation work initiated with Dr. Brian Plush, and he ensures that every solution is backed by data and real-world testing. Dominic’s leadership emphasizes an evidence-based engineering approach and Australian-made quality. He insists on conservative, audit-ready solutions – no inflated promises – so that clients can trust that each engineering control will perform reliably and meet strict compliance standards.

Stephanie Foley

Director and CFO

Stephanie Foley oversees Particular Engineering’s financial strategy and business governance. As Director and Chief Financial Officer, she brings 20+ years of professional bookkeeping and business management experience (including running her own accounting practice) to ensure the company’s growth is sustainable and audit-ready. Stephanie’s detail-oriented, data-driven approach to finance helps maintain transparency and accountability in all operations. She works closely with the engineering team to align resources with the company’s Australian-made quality focus – investing in local materials and compliance initiatives that strengthen our products. Stephanie’s conservative financial oversight and insistence on proper processes underpin client confidence, allowing the technical team to innovate within a framework that meets regulatory and reporting standards.

Aaron Huber

General Manager and Lead Designer

Aaron Huber is responsible for day-to-day operations and the design of custom engineering controls. As General Manager and Lead Designer, he bridges client needs with practical engineering, overseeing the development of Australian-made dust mitigation equipment. Aaron leverages his background in mechanical design and project management to ensure every system is crafted to specification and rigorously tested. He champions an evidence-based design process – using data from prototypes and field trials – to validate that each dust control solution performs effectively under real conditions. Aaron’s steady, methodical approach means projects stay on track and compliant with safety standards from concept through installation.

Design Engineer

Cameron Lloyd is a mechanical engineer specializing in the design of dust and fume control systems. As a Design Engineer, he transforms complex safety requirements into manufacturable solutions – from 3D CAD models to on-site prototypes. Cameron’s fresh perspective and technical training ensure our designs remain innovative yet evidence-based, using the latest engineering tools to simulate performance before anything is built. He collaborates with our scientific advisors to incorporate proven dust mitigation methods into each project. Focused on precision and Australian-made craftsmanship, Cameron helps deliver custom equipment that fits seamlessly into client operations and stands up to both hazards and audits. His attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement make him an integral part of developing safer, cleaner workplaces.

Prefabrication Factory Supervisor

Daniel Webster heads our prefabrication facility, coordinating the build of dust control equipment with a focus on precision and quality. A seasoned supervisor with extensive hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing (spanning roles well beyond what’s listed on LinkedIn – to be confirmed), Daniel ensures that each component is fabricated to exact specifications and stringent standards. He enforces systematic, evidence-based production processes at our Somersby factory – from material preparation and welding to final QA checks – so that the end products align with the engineering designs and safety requirements. Daniel’s leadership on the workshop floor guarantees that our Australian-made assemblies are delivered on time and ready for straightforward installation. Under his supervision, the prefabrication team consistently produces reliable, compliant parts that will effectively mitigate dust and silica hazards once deployed.

Fabrication Supervisor

Brendon Rawnsley has over 20 years’ experience as a metal fabricator and project supervisor. As our Fabrication Supervisor, he oversees the welding, assembly, and finishing of all custom-engineered dust control systems. Brendon’s deep industry knowledge—spanning mining, construction, and heavy fabrication—gives him a full perspective from workshop floor to site completion. He rigorously upholds tried-and-tested fabrication processes and quality checks, ensuring that each unit meets design specifications and relevant Australian standards. Known for his practical leadership and attention to detail, Brendon ensures that every product leaving our workshop is built to last and performs safely under real-world conditions. His commitment to safety and quality means clients receive equipment that not only fits but functions reliably to reduce dust and explosive hazard risks.

Dr Brian Plush

Scientific Advisor

Dr. Brian Plush is a particulate matter scientist with 35+ years in mining and occupational dust control. Formerly an underground miner turned consultant, he earned a PhD in Mining Engineering and has become a leading innovator in respirable dust mitigation. Dr. Plush holds multiple international patents for dust suppression equipment and testing methodologies, reflecting his evidence-based approach to solving dust and silica hazards. As Managing Director of PM10 Laboratories (a partner entity), he pioneered the quantification of engineering control efficiency and influenced industry standards through research and federal inquiries. In his advisory role, Dr. Plush provides our team with cutting-edge insights and scientifically validated methods to remove dust at the source. His guidance ensures that our engineering controls are grounded in hard data and proven results – enhancing worker safety and helping clients exceed regulatory requirements without exaggeration.

Dr Nikky LaBranche

Scientific Advisor​

Dr. Nikky LaBranche is an occupational health researcher and mining engineer with nearly two decades of experience in mine safety and respiratory health. She leads the Dust and Respiratory Health Program at The University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute, managing a $3.6 million portfolio of applied research into respirable dust exposure and control technologies. Dr. LaBranche’s work has advanced industry understanding of silica dust characteristics and effective mitigation – using techniques like scanning electron microscopy to identify hazardous particles and evaluate suppression methods. An AusIMM Fellow recognized with national awards for health and safety innovation, she brings authoritative expertise to our team. In her advisory role, Dr. LaBranche ensures that our engineering controls reflect the latest scientific findings and best practices in preventing occupational lung disease. Her evidence-backed guidance helps us design systems that truly protect workers, supporting our mission to create safer, healthier and compliant workplaces.

Dr Jon Roberts

Scientific Advisor​

Dr. Jon Roberts is a mechanical engineer and academic specialist in bulk materials handling and dust suppression. He serves as a Lecturer at the University of Wollongong, where his teaching and research focus on simulation methods for dust control and improving industrial ventilation systems. Dr. Roberts completed a PhD developing new approaches to reduce airborne dust in mining and has collaborated with industry through the Bulk Materials Engineering Australia group. He brings a rigorous, evidence-based perspective to our advisory board – using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other advanced modeling to predict how dust particles behave and how to capture them effectively. Dr. Roberts’ blend of academic insight and practical problem-solving helps ensure our custom solutions are scientifically sound and optimized for real-world conditions. By advising on the latest dust mitigation research, he enables us to implement controls that are not only innovative but also measurable in their performance.
